      Hiroshi Masuhara
Hiroshi Masuhara was born on March 29, 1944 in Tokyo, Japan. He received a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry from Tohoku University in 1966 and a Ph.D. from Osaka University (with Professor Noburo Mataga) in1971. He was a member of the faculty of the Osaka University from 1972 to 1984. In 1984, he became a full professor at the Kyoto Institute of Technology and set up a new laboratory in the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering. In 1991, he moved back to Osaka, as a Professor in the Department of Applied Physics at Osaka University. He is now Chair Professor of National Chiao Tung University, Specially Appointed Professor of Nara Institute of Science and Technology, and Professor Emeritus of Osaka University.
