Research Theme

Spin precession frequencies in antiferromagnets extend into terahertz regime, which point to ultrafast spin manipulation. The purpose of this research is accomplishment of efficient phase control and an optical switch at terahertz frequencies by irradiating antiferromagnets with circularly polarized pulses without external magnetic and electric fields. Further, I aim for coherent and ultrafast spin manipulation/magnetization reversal with femtosecond shaped laser pulses.
